La Maison Ani

La Maison Ani is the brainchild of Chef Izu, inspired by his travel experiences and influences from different cultures, blending his passion and skills into a concept that is encapsulated in both the restaurant’s menu and architectural design. La Maison Ani oozes effortless elegance and a romantic atmosphere, due to its luxurious, polished interior. This ambience is introduced through the lighting. Leading hospitality group, Bulldozer Group appointed lighting brand SoMA to provide the lighting design and supply. SoMA chose to supply linear solutions courtesy of premium linear lighting experts and manufacturer LEDFlex Group. Working in collaboration, the partners brought Chef Izu’s vision to life.

Counters, bars, and cabinets display ingredients, bottles, vases, and décor, lending a sense of openness to the space. LEDFlex use Eco Flex 180 and Ultimo Neon 16 in 2700K to add a backlight and draw focus to these items for display. Eco Flex was installed under the counter, the lower-level cabinets, and the shelves behind the bar, illuminating and creating a subtle yet eye-catching emphasis to these focal areas of the venue. These solutions also emphasise the curve and contours of the curved shelves which are set against seat backs, making the most of the use of the space with functional display shelves built against seating areas.

The LEDs add an artistic illumination to the feature bar, creating a subtle separation between the shelves. They further highlight and brighten the space for a cool, clean aesthetic which has spotlights of nature and warmth, with a high-end finish.
