The Project
Aker ASA’s Tech House stands as a bold expression of innovation, sustainability, and architectural excellence. At its heart is Khaos, a dynamic installation of six interactive sculptures that embody Aker’s vision for the future of energy.
A collaboration between LEDFlex and Void, Khaos reimagines the boundaries of art and technology. This ever-evolving installation transforms the facade, mirroring the fluid nature of energy and immersing visitors in a continuously shifting visual experience.
Bringing Khaos to life required a bespoke lighting solution that seamlessly integrated with the sculptures’ intricate forms. LEDFlex engineered Pixel Flex Single RGBW 3D, an ultra-high-resolution LED tape featuring 48 pixels per meter and dual-axis flexibility. Designed to adapt flawlessly to the sculptures' complex geometry, over 1 kilometre of this custom solution illuminates Khaos, delivering striking high-definition visuals that shift between subtle glows and vibrant displays.
This fusion of art and technology turns Khaos into a living canvas, responding to time and interaction. More than just an installation, it stands as a testament to Aker’s forward-thinking ethos—brought to life by LEDFlex’s pioneering lighting expertise.
