Fortnum & Mason’s legacy dates back to as early as 18th Century. What began as a small grocery store has now become one of London’s most upmarket department stores with a reputation built on quality food. In recent years, the brand has not only unveiled new stores around London but has gone a step ahead with tapping into bars, restaurants and tea parlours, the most recent one opening in London’s historic Royal Exchange.

In a creative collaboration with leading lighting designer, Spiers and Major, we designed bespoke lighting solutions for the bar area of the restaurant enclosed within the al-fresco style surroundings of the Royal Exchange’s spectacular central courtyard.

Ideal for subtle contour and feature lighting, Lumen Line 120 from our Flex Range is used for bottle downlighting in the centre of the bar, adding a touch of opulence to the space. At the same time, Ultimo Neon 10 and Ultimo Neon 16 Triview from our Neon Range can also be spotted in various areas of the bar. While the Ultimo Neon 10 is used seamlessly to outline the classic signage, a combination of Ultimo Neon 10 and Ultimo 16 Triview is seen integrated into Fortnum & Mason’s trademark Eau de Nil tiling and work surface. The high lumen output of the Neons make the atmosphere vibrant, offering diners an exclusive dining experience. Our Flexi Panels have further been used in work surfaces for better task lighting as well as for enhancing brightness.
